Some basic facts about the Charlottetown Area Development Corporation (CADC) include the following:

• The CADC acts in partnership with the Province of P.E.I. and the City of Charlottetown.
• The CADC works to attract private sector developers and investors to capitalize on new opportunities and growth.
• The CADC is totally self-financed from operations and receives no operating subsidies.
• The CADC provides an annual return to its shareholders through the payment of property taxes which is in excess of $400,000 per year.
• The CADC has an annual operating budget of $2.6 million and a payroll of $600,000.
• The CADC purchases goods and services in excess of $1.0 million each year.
